  Originally booked a hire car for two days, on line. When I arrived to pick up the car, I explained that I would need it for only one day. The staff member was friendly but said, "I'll leave it at two and it will be adjusted when you return the car".

  They do add expensive insurance at counter otherwise the excess is ridiculous (about $4500). Service fine and our car was too. Note you have to enter the terminal to find the rental car counters then walk to the large car park to get car. Not a far walk but a bit inconvenient when getting dropped off by taxi with baggage.

  When I returned the car; unmarked, filled with diesel and parked back in the rental return car park, I explained to the person on the service desk what had been said and that my credit card had been charged for two days. She said the second day would be credited to my card but she would not reissue an invoice as the car had not been inspected yet. (Avis has no one in the rental return car park and you have to walk the keys back up to the airport terminal). She took no details from me and just added my rental agreement to a pile on the desk. I knew then that I'd never see that credit. Over a week now and still nothing.

  Pretty much a scam, overpriced crappy cars, $50 insurance every day that they pop at the last minute or you pay $4000 excess. Car was rubbish and had a flat tyre. Unfriendly service.
